More Fun in Bulwang Caves Mabinay

I've been to Dumaguete the center of Negros Oriental via Mabinay but I didn't know there's place like this. Last month we went to Bulwang caves in Mabinay as part of our long road trip to Bohol. According to the Guides consist of 400 plus cavernous sites explored mostly financed by foreign spelunkers.

Can't get enough picture taking, one tip though DO NOT use your flash. Photographs were more stunning without a flash -- 400 to 800 ISO is good enough.

We've been to the beginner's side of the cave where they installed railings for easy access and exploration. As part of the local Government's modernization projects, they put spotlights to enhance the beauty of the stalactites and stalagmites that are forming over time.

We went to just one cave and the stalactites and stalagmites are amazing. And this is just a beginners' cave. The Guides said that it would take you 3 days to get to explore to the other more challenging and extreme caves for spelunking enthusiasts. One of the Guides suggest that you need wet suits and hanging tents for camping. In addition to that, it requires rappelling to get to your destination. The Guide describes the exploration as "Wet and Wild".

There's too many to go in the Philippines even we Filipinos have not been to.

It's definitely more fun in the Philippines.
