Kilala Mo Ba Talaga Sila? That's the title of Probe Team's new branding, Profiles, which tackles the public and private lives of presidential wannabes for the upcoming 2010 Presidential Election.
I think this investigative show, Profiles, is a great venue for us young electorate to know more about the background and qualifications of the men and women who have of course expressed intentions to run for president next year.
Profiles' first installment of the series probes Sen. Manny Villar.
Who is Manny Villar?
Manny Villar is the only billionnaire in the House of Senate . A businessman turned politician. A man with a rags-to-riches story. At least that's what his advocacy advertisements and infomercials are trying to tell us. I regard him as a transactional president (if ever). A businessman will always be a businessman. As I see it, Villar will only patronize his own product; he goes for product where he can gain. And, the only that comes to a businessman's mind is profit. I think that says it all.
Sen. Manny Villar's "Sipag at Tiyaga" story is inspirational. But it only ends there. I don't see him as The President.
Probe 'Profiles' airs every wednesday after Bandila on ABS-CBN Bacolod.
The episodes may also be viewed for free on Probe's official website, http://www.probetv.com.
