Yanggaw is a Hiligaynon word meaning infected. It is more associated to a person who is infected by a poison of an evil spirit; eventually turns into an aswang, a monster feasting on flesh and blood.
Yanggaw has a fresh take on Negros local myths. The short film is being more sincere as presentation is concerned because it is dubbed in Hiligaynon, a dialect spoken by Bacolodnons. Most of cast members, if not all, are from Bacolod, Negros Occidental.
